Berlin Cathedral

This week has been extremely packed so far so much work to do, yet running low on time…

So here’s the last part of our Berlin trip which includes my favourite building: the Berlin Cathedral. When I saw it first, I couldn’t believe it’s a protestant church since the architecture with it’s baroque ornamental style resembles Catholic churches way more than the epitome of a protestant church. (My favourite churches, by the way, are white, purist Pietist ones.) Unfortunately, we didn’t make it inside since the queue was too long. Perhaps next time!

Architecturewise, I also enjoyed our visit on Berlin’s Museum Island a lot. So many gorgeous, monumental buildings at one go. I’d definitely love to go back to the museums’s quarter soon  although Berlin and I haven’t become best friends in general so far.

(P.S.: Ragnar Kjartansson is one of Óskar’s and my favourite Icelandic artists. So great to see how many different projects he’s been developing in Berlin during the last year.)
