Mismatch Ear Rings: DIY | Arrow Ear Studs: Asos | Protective Sleeves: Flutees
One of my latest easy twists and jewellery passions is to wear DIY mismatch earrings. – Finally, I’ve found a proper way to recycle ‘old’ earrings of which I lost the second one (but that I still fancy a lot)!
I somehow like my own selections even more than ready-made mismatch earrings that you can buy all over the place. Perhaps because of this little sense of nostalgia that comes with the re-use of almost forgotten jewellery from one’s own closet.
Since I usually don’t wear lots of jewellery at one go, but rather discreet and small pieces, my favourite combination is quite minimal and contains two different silverish pearl ear studs.
I also treated myself with a beautiful pair of ‘through & through earrings’ lately which I found at Asos. Their edgy look matches pretty much every outfit with golden details. How do you like them? For the first time, I tested some new protective sleeves for ear stud pins that are designed to avoid any contact between the ear hole and the earring’s material. Although I’ve never had problems with irritated skin, it always seems to be a smart idea to go for invisible protection.
Hope you’re having a wonderful week! x
